Congratulations Saki! March 22, 2004 update: At the Ft. Worth Kennel Club show Saki took Winner's Bitch and Best of Winners for a four point major! April 3, 2004: Saki took another 4 point major to become CH Sun Meadow's Sakitome. We thank Ronda Lee for showing Saki so beautifully. Ronda has just the right touch to handle energetic Vizslas. |
| Sun Meadow's Sakitome, (Sock it to me!) Born April 16, 2002. "Saki" is a member of the Sun Meadow gang that lives about 5 miles away with my sister Sheryl and with my Mom, Betty. So far she is a clone of her mom, Binki, both in actions and in looks. The newest member of the family is Sun Meadow's Sedona, "Meadow." She is also out of Budha and Binki but a later litter. | ||

Saki is the pup who is awake.
This should have warned us. She is a bit of an imp, but very biddable in her training. |

| Saki is seen below snuggling and playing with her older "sister" Mocha. Mocha has taught Saki a lot about how to be a socially acceptable member of the pack. Watch for more about Saki in the months to come! | ||

Bringing a new pup into the pack requires some preparation. Mocha did not get unsupervised
play time for months. Although Mocha is a wonderful dog, she was naturally jealous of "that
young upstart." She was given lots of extra attention to reassure her about her place in the pack.
Please research how to introduce an older dog in the home to your new pup.
Here are some articles to read well in advance to bringing your pup home. A site
about clicker training (a positive training method we prefer,) has a whole section on puppy
training that is very helpful.
The button below will allow you to subscribe to the most active e-mail list for the Vizsla. E-lists can be a great resource for both new and experienced owners but can generate a considerable amount of e-mail. Initially at least, you may want to set the digest option when you subscribe.
